Okay I've checked and ALPS Bluetooth devices definetely use Broadcom chipset. You need to follow the Dev-Hack guide. I've done Steps 2-3 for you so you need to omit these. Instead download and replace the file I'm sending you from the 'Win32' sub-directory.

It should work for sure. You should also be able to run the update. Let me know how you get on.

1. Download WidCommmBluetooth5.1.0.1100.zip as instructed on teh Dev-Hack site

2. Open this zip file and extract all the files into a directory

3. Go into this directory - there is a sub-directory 'Win32'
Go into Win32

4. Delete btwusb.ini

5. Download btwusb.ini from the link I sent you in a PM.

6. Copy btwusb.inf that you just downloaded into Win32.

And running Vista ultimate and having a N73 phone.

But I can't get Pc suite (the newest) to work with my dongle. it only says:

"...control all hardware and software is installed...."

Has it installed the Microsoft Bluetooth stack? If so then try the Broadcom update as above.

If that doesn't work follow the Dev-Hack guide as posted above.

Forget the .ini I PM'ed Ian. That was specificially for him.
You need to follow all the steps in the guide like I said before.

and when I unplug my Bluetooth device all the installations will go away. So I'm stuck at point 4

When you uninstall the devices in device manager DELETE THE DRIVERS.

You have to DELETE THE DRIVERS FOR THIS DEVICE. You need to check that when you uninstall it. Windows won't have the drivers to install it again.
